An excellent example of rustic-style architecture harmonising with the natural surroundings of its quiet and lovely country location, this attractive holiday home is just a few minutes' drive from Órgiva. Close enough to town to be able to stroll there whenever you feel like it, yet far enough away to enjoy the tranquility of the wonderful countryside all around, this is a great place for a family holiday.

A short track leads past the owners own house, through the orange trees and gardens to this two-storey holiday home, located in a private corner of the gardens, where it enjoys views out over olive groves to the southern mountains. The owners house, 50 metres away and hidden from view by mature greenery is also rented out during the summer months and shares the swimming pool.

A large covered terrace with a fountain at the front of the house leads to the open-plan ground floor area, comprising a kitchen / dining room and a spacious living space with an open fireplace. The two twin bedrooms are upstairs, each with a shower room/WC. One of them gives access to a first-floor terrace with terrific views.

The house is designed for easy and enjoyable holiday living. Furnishings are tasteful and imaginative. It has plenty of light and charm and is equipped with satellite TV and a brick-built barbecue.

There is a beautiful, large, swimming pool (with wide steps leading into the water, ideal for young children) and 2,000m² of gardens, both of which are shared with guests staying in the owners house (for more details of this second property, click here).

The houses are well apart from each other and there's plenty of seclusion and privacy for both (see photo below, right). They also share a delightful Finish sauna hut which has been built in an independent corner of the grounds just beyond the pool as well as plenty of fun things for children - a water slide, play area and a giant swing.

Obviously, for a larger family or group of friends, the rental of both properties together would make an excellent combination, offering high quality accommodation, bags of space and, of course, private use of the gardens, sauna and swimming pool.

Its location has a lot to offer, both to guests with a spirit for adventure and those seeking rest and relaxation. The peace of the countryside can be enjoyed in the large garden, while reading under the shade of an olive tree beside the pool, playing football with the kids or spending a summer evening at the barbecue.

The small town of Órgiva turns into countryside just a lemon's throw from the market square. From this holiday home it's just a short stroll, less than 10 minutes, to the centre of town. Granada, the beaches of the Costa Tropical and the old, Moorish villages of the high Alpujarra are all within driving distance for day trips, each a completely different experience.
